Give Through Your IRA
Support the 21st Century Campaign
The $700 billion economic bill enacted by Congress on October 3, 2008, includes a two-year extension of the Pension Protection Act of 2006.
For a limited time only—2008 and 2009—donors may once again make tax-free gifts to APS from their traditional or Roth IRAs.
What This Means For You
- If you are at least 70½ years of age, you may withdraw contribution funds from your IRAs without being taxed.
- You may give directly from your IRA without increasing your adjusted gross income–or subjecting your Social Security income to a higher level of taxation.
- You may make a generous gift that might not be possible using other assets.
- You may give up to $100,000/year to charitable organizations such as APS.
- You may designate your gift to one or more APS programs.
- You may also designate your gift to APS as "unrestricted".
APS is pleased to offer recognition to the Campaign’s supporters. We assure you that your gift will be put to very good use regardless of its designation.
Consult your financial adviser for specific information about donating to APS through your IRA.
